Heather The Jerk is Heather Sawyer, a Madison-based garage rocker and member of bands like the Hussy and Proud Parents. MRR described her late 2024 cassette Not Very Motorcycle as bedroom pop-punk, which at least gets you in the ballpark for new tape Scroll If You Love Devil. The tracklist compiles 10 short, sweet, scrappy little tunes ranging from cranky (raucous opener “Get Off My Lawn”) to sentimental (doe-eyed closer “I Miss You”). It’s a bit like Vivian Girls meets Illuminati Hotties meets Sheer Mag — bashed-out lo-fi guitar-pop songs that prioritize fun despite their hostile exterior. Stream the album below.
