Bring on the bold, fierce songs! Bangerz N Bopz serves up background info and insight into songs of various styles, especially songs that raise eyebrows and/or stir the pot.Ā  Featured records can be classic or brand new. In the 15th edition of Bangerz N Bopz (2026), we break down ā€œYUKONā€ performed by Justin Bieber.

ā€œIn the city, uh / ā€˜Member you used to drive a Yukon / I pick up whenever you call / In the parking lot in Tucson, like.ā€ Grammy-winning pop superstar Justin Bieber struck gold with his minimalist Ā Grammy-nominated single, ā€œYUKONā€. ā€œYUKONā€ is the third track from his Grammy-nominated album, SWAG. It also appears on the expanded, SWAG II. Ā Notably, Bieber gave a captivating performance of ā€œYUKONā€ at the Grammys.Ā  Beyond his stripped performance, Justin stripped down too. JB in boxer shorts, with mad ink = hot 🄵 🄵 🄵. Bieber is one of 11 credited songwriters on ā€œYUKON.ā€ The song samples ā€œUntitledā€ by Eminem.Ā  Daniel Chetrit, Sir Dylan (Dylan Wiggins), Carter Lang, and Dijon produced it.Ā  ā€œYUKONā€ peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100.

ā€œYUKONā€ is a surefire pop banger for many reasons.Ā  It features a distinct groove that is irresistible.Ā  The guitar is perfect as the primary accompaniment instrument.Ā  Justin Bieber’s vocal performance is the main reason why ā€œYUKONā€ shines. Ā He performs with unique, pitch-shifted vocals for most of the song. Even though the vocals are laden with effects, Bieber sings incredibly smoothly. Some of his ad-libs are sung in his traditional voice, contrasting his pitch-shifted vocals. There are also additional ad-libs that aren’t Bieber’s (2 Chainz, specifically).Ā  Throughout, there are memorable lyrics and tuneful melodies.Ā  ā€œIn the Phantom with the roof gone / I pull up like Jimmy Neutron,ā€ Bieber asserts near the end of the first verse. Ā In the second verse, he informs her, ā€œJust wanna be the one to give you what you want / I could put you in the Yves Saint Laurent.ā€ There’s no doubt Bieber has the means to do so! The pre-chorus and chorus take the cake, lyrically.Ā  In the pre-chorus, he blesses us with the memorable ā€œSlide city, slide city / You know what that meansā€ lyrics 😈.Ā  Of course, the chorus is kind of a big deal, too: ā€œWhat would I do (What would I do?) / If I didn’t love you, baby?ā€ All told, ā€œYUKONā€ ranks among the best moments from SWAG/SWAG II. Bieber does his big one on this one!
